Skin cancer (multiplying excessive skin cells) usually occur on parts of skin exposed to sunlight.
There are three main categories of skin cancer: bazocelular carcinoma, melanoma and carcinoma scuamos. The first two forms have developed slowly and are treated in most patients, especially if detected early. In contrast, melanoma is the most serious form, because affect deep layers of the skin and has the greatest potential for expansion to other body tissues other. Incidence of skin cancer is increasing.
To reduce the risk of skin cancer, avoid excessive or limited exposure to ultraviolet rays. Detected in early stages, most cases of cancer can be treated successfully.
